Keeping road-trip charging reasonable

Charging memberships (Electrify America Pass+, EVgo subscriptions, Tesla Supercharger pricing for members) typically cut 20-30% for a small monthly fee — worth it for any regular fast-charger. Charging to 80% instead of 100% avoids the slow, expensive top-of-battery tail. And hotel/destination Level 2 chargers are often free — the cheapest road-trip kWh is the one you pick up while sleeping.
